Public opinion today often involves some sweeping negative judgments about men. I have seen titles like “Why are men still ...”, “Why can’t men ...”. If things like these are said about women or some POC, they would be attacked as sexist or racist, no doubt. A lot of men are this bad, true, but many are not. After all there are like 3 billion men on our planet, how can anyone know most of them! (Sorry if my numbers are not precise). Men are more privileged in general because our society is patriarchal, so statements like “Men just can’t ...” are in a sense more acceptable than “Women just can’t ...”. But does this make such statements ok? They are still discriminatory.
