Is someone who runs into a burning house to save fifty people less brave than someone who runs into a burning house to save one person (assuming same strength of fear of fire and injury)? Or, to give a different example, being literally or emotionally naked on stage is said to take courage, but if the actor is paid to do this, would that mean that he/she is less courageous than someone who wasn't paid? And would the amount of payment make any difference?
